I Discovered How To Add Value To My House

"Wouldn’t You Want To Know How?"

Acquiring a home report made me realize how to add value to my house. How did this happen? For those who are not aware of what a home report is, it is a result of a proposal of various recommendations which concerns the buying and selling of privately owned houses in Scotland. Implementation of acquiring a home report started on December 1, 2008. The home report has three documents: the Single Survey, the Energy Report and the Property Questionnaire. Basically, a home report provides information on the overall condition of the property being made available for sale before any appraisal and improvement takes place.

A Single Survey provides information on assessment of home condition, valuation and accessibility. An Energy Report provides information on assessment of home energy efficiency and environmental impact. And the Property Questionnaire provides additional information given by the owner.

Both the Single Survey and the Energy Report require the services of a surveyor. This represents independence from the influence of the home owner. It is certain that facts are stated and not just opinions of an individual. All inspections conducted are without prejudice to the existing condition of the structure and facilities of the property. Recommendations from the surveyor are things to be considered. Whether as a seller or a buyer, a third party professional opinion is a way on how to add value to my house.

The Property Questionnaire is a list of questions which can be objectively answered for most items. There is almost no possibility to express an opinion on a any question. The questions concern length of ownership and council tax, parking, conservation area and listed building, alterations, energy performance certificate, services and responsibilities, charges, specialist works, boundaries and notices. All the answers to these questions are declaration on the part of the seller and can be verified by a buyer.

What an individual wants in a home is a place where he can rest, experience comfort and be himself. To do things he wants to do. To buy a new home and know for sure upon move in that the ceiling at the kitchen has no leak or that the central heating system is working and in good condition or the various utilities has been providing good services. All these experience for the new home owner will let him know that there is an added value to the house he is planning to buy because it is stated in the home report. He knows he will be protected, taken care of and make a good investment on the purchase because of his request for a home report he requested for.

The means of adding value to my house is to maximize the use of the home report after a free online valuation of my property. The Housing Improvement Task Force did not just sit and wait after conducting that examination regarding the condition of buying and selling of quality homes owned by private sectors. Use it and reap the benefits.
